Based in Paris, despite her youth, the Barcelona artist Cecilya Mestres has a long career in the world of music, being recognized as one of the most promising singers of her generation within Blues, Rhythm ‘N’ Blues and Rock. Classic Roll n’ Roll.
During these last years, the artist has toured a large part of Europe and Argentina; and since 2019 she develops her career in France. She made her debut at the age of 14 and during that period of time she sings and composes songs in various formations with heterogeneous musical styles.
Cecilya Mestres leads a Rhythm ‘N’ Blues and Rock’n’roll band “All-Stars” with the support of guitarist Rodolphe Dumont, one of the most renowned musicians of the genre in France. Similarly, she has the invaluable collaboration of Sax Gordon who recorded the saxes from Boston (USA). The group “Cecilya & The Candy Kings” is also made up of Spanish musicians with whom they form a totally incendiary live combo.
Now he presents the new album “Back in 1955”, with a pure Rock N’Roll sound and original songs composed by Cecilya Mestres plus two versions; one of them, “Back In 1955”, a single that gives its name to this album. Edited by Meseta Records, «Cecilya & The Candy Kings» have played in the best Jazz clubs and venues in Paris such as Le Caveau de la Huchette, Sunset Sunside and Le Balajo.
They have defended their repertoire throughout France, Switzerland and Spain, performing at festivals such as the Disney Rock’n’Roll Festival in Disneyland (Paris) or the Festival des Terrasses de Crans-Montana in Switzerland. Since 2020, Cecilya Mestres has been featured on billboards at major European festivals such as the American Tours Festival and the Béthune Retro Festival, among others.
